Client wanted to ensure that the building envelope included space to expand classrooms as well as the ability to develop additional building space.

Minimized use of artificial lighting, occupancy/vacancy sensors, rooftop light tubes, advanced air sealing, high-performance window glazing, native landscaping, energy-efficient building materials
Other Information
Extra curricular facilities were developed to allow large areas for general play and school activities. A fully-functional basketball court was included as well.

Project Description
Summit Academy Jr. High School has several sister campuses serving kindergarten through grade 6 and upper grades. Silverpeak began providing phase one construction documents and support being mindful of the future needs for expansion. Among the requests from the school board was particular details regarding the sustainability of materials and use of natural light to reduce costs and provide the best possible natural atmosphere for students.
