SIlverpeak is seeking an Architectural Designer/Project Manager to work with the design and documentation team in solving the detailed problems of a design and in communicating the design to clients and contractors.
Architectural Designer
What you will be doing
- Work with the design team in solving the detailed problems of a design
- Communicate designs to client and contractors
- Prepare information regarding design, structure, specifications, materials, and colors
- 3D mockups of designs for client presentation
- Direct the activities of skilled drafters and structural/mechanical/electrical engineers engaged in producing drawings and specification documents
- Assistance in developing product specifications
- Consult with clients to determine their functional and spatial requirements
- Work in site design issue resolution and coordination may also be required
- Provide support to Architect during construction management and coordination with clients during construction.
What you will need to know/have
- Minimum of 3 years of architectural experience in technical design and detailing of commercial construction projects
- Proven ability in coordinating design documents for construction
- Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, 3DS Max, and Sketchup
- Preferably also proficient with Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in plan development
- Working knowledge of building codes and other design codes
- Proven ability to work on a team designing and preparing construction documents for projects
- Project delivery experience working directly with clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable interacting with clients
- Must be self-directed, motivated, and detail-oriented
- Minimum 2 year technical degree in Architectural Engineering – Bachelor’s degree in Architecture preferred
Portfolio demonstrating previous design work is required
